low fat granola and other stuff

Welcome to the blog if you want to find out what kks is doing...

We love kks, but Dora the Explorer is about to drive us nuts...

We have dreams/nightmares about various Dora lines

We did it! We did it! Hooray!

Backpack, backpack. Backpack, backpack.

Come on vaminos! Everybody let's go! Come on let's get to it, I know that we can do it! Where are going?
--Crazy.

Swiper, no swiping!

Etc, etc, etc.

+ kks is a fine eater--three pieces of Mom's homemade pizza (minus the pizza bones for the doggie) while we had guests over--local clergy friends. We really have to guess what she is willing to eat at any given time. Kellogg's Low fat granola today...Dad is still well on his way to eating enough cereal to get a free flight on American Airlines.

+ We have given up on bathtub crayons, they end up clogged in the drain. She is intrigued by nana's new bathtub finger paint...and voila! It doesn't clog the drain.

+ A couple of days of three hour naps. Nice.

+ Still on anti-biotics, illness seems to have cleared.

+ Life goes much better if we can take our time in the morning. She likes time alone to read books and gently adjust to the waking hours. Mom and Dad play a good enough tag team that we can pull this off until we have to go to work.

+ kks is not interested in having you read to her. If you're lucky, she may read to you--telling you what is on the pages of the books--square, pray, hat, oval, doggie, bear, etc.

+ At daycare, kks has been identified as "an active toddler." This does not sound unusual for a toddler, but her caregiver says that she will just run and run and run, just for the sake of running. No wonder she comes home totally wiped.

That's enough for today--we'll do our best to keep you up to speed on the latest kks news.
